The GEO Global Forum 2025 was an international event organized by the Group on Earth Observations (GEO). The forum brought together stakeholders from governments, the private sector, academia, and civil society to discuss and advance the use of Earth observation data for sustainable development.

Key Objectives:
Fostered Collaboration: The forum aimed to strengthen partnerships across sectors and regions to maximize the impact of Earth observation data.
Showcased Innovation: Participants shared the latest technologies, applications, and success stories in Earth observation.
Advanced Policy and Practice: The event served as a platform for dialogue on policy frameworks, data sharing, and best practices to address global challenges such as climate change, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable resource management.

At the GEO Global Forum 2025, CiROCCO project was featured as part of the European Union’s presence at the EU booth, which showcased more than 60 Horizon projects along with activities from the European Space Programme and the EuroGEO Secretariat. The EU booth offered an immersive experience highlighting EU-funded Earth observation initiatives, including presentations, round tables, e-posters, and videos that demonstrated concrete EO-based solutions and services.

The presence of CiROCCO at the booth aligned with the broader EU effort to showcase projects that leverage Earth observation data to address environmental and societal challenges, consistent with the forum’s themes of climate action, disaster resilience, and sustainable resource management.
