Desert dust plays a critical role in Earth’s climate system, air quality, and human health. This webinar explores the importance of understanding and predicting dust events, the current capabilities and limitations in dust monitoring and forecasting, and how satellite observations contribute to improving these efforts. Special focus will be given to the synergistic use of satellite products within the CIROCCO project, showcasing how multi-source data integration enhances dust forecasting over the Mediterranean region and beyond.
