CiROCCO met with local stakeholders in Cairo, Egypt, to conduct its 3rd stakeholders’ workshop, concerning the Benban Solar Park Pilot. 

In this workshop, which was organized by CEDARE, research findings relating to the effects of Desert Dust Storm events in the region were presented, and the feedback generated will be used to help optimize CiROCCO’s Renewable Energy System Planning. 

Amongst CiROCCO’s partners, there were representatives from the New and Renewable Energy Authority, Benban Solar Developers Association, the General Authority of Meteorology, the Desert Research Center, Ain Shams University, the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE), the RAED- Arab Network for Environment and Development (RAED) and the The British University in Egypt.
